We are glad to announce the 3rd Printing Future Days, taking place in November 2009. The Printing Future Days are an international student conference about print and media technologies. This conference is hosted by the Institute for Print and Media Technology of Chemnitz University of Technology.

On the third day of the PRINTING FUTURE DAYS initially the materials of the printing industry were focused – the inks and substrates. Prof. Dr. Reinhard Baumann (pmTUC) opened the second day of the PRINTING FUTURE DAYS with a presentation about the “Internet of things” and the future role of the printing industry at this. He showed which components enable the communication between items and gave an overview over the actual contributions of his group to this topic. The third PRINTING FUTURE DAYS (PFD) were opened on Monday morning by Prof. Dr. Reinhard Baumann (pmTUC) and Prof. Dr. Klaus-Jürgen Matthes (President of the University) who greeted the 90 participating students from Korea, India, China and Russia (among others) and promised an interesting conference.
